David is a spectacled character who has a secret crush on Shaun's girlfriend Liz. His feelings for Liz are hidden and are the main reason for his dislike of Shaun. His current relationship is with Dianne, of whom he has known since high school. When Shaun's Mum Barbara is infected by a bite from a zombie, he is the first to realise that she must be dealt with. He is later mutilated by zombies when he gets pulled out of the window of The Winchester pub.
